Rabun Co. Wildcats visit Heard County this Friday Night

It’s game 4 of the season Friday night, September 16, 2022, for the Rabun County Wildcats, as they travel to Franklin, Georgia, to play the Heard County Braves in a non-region game.  The Wildcats are 3-0 on the season and the Braves sit at 1-2.  After a bye week, Rabun County High School Varsity Football Head Coach Mike Davis is ready to play again against a very good team.  “I know traditionally, they are very talented.  I know they’ve had some really good players there.  They’ve got some good players this year.  They are not playing maybe as good as they’ve been in the past but they are still very explosive and a very scary football team.  They have good size.  I think they are on the edge of being really good, I just hope they wait another week before they get it going.  They are multiple, I mean they are going to be spread but then they are going to line up in the I a little bit.  They are another one that lives off the big plays.  So, defensively, if we can eliminate the explosive big plays then I think we have a chance.  They’re a well-coached team and we are going down there to their place.  I’ve never played down there before but I’ve talked to some coaches that it is a tough place to play with a great high school atmosphere and that is what we are looking forward to.”  The Rabun County High School varsity football game kicks off at 7:30pm.  If you can’t make it to the game and don’t want to miss a touchdown or tackle, you can listen to all the exciting action on Sky 96.3.
