Rabun Co. Rec Cross Country Team hosts 1st Meet Ever

On Saturday, September 17, 2022, the Rabun County Rec Cross Country made history by hosting its first-ever cross country meet at Rabun County High School, reports Coach Ed Eidson.  “By far the most difficult course in our district and we got plenty of medals and amazing times, I couldn’t be a prouder coach.  Hosting and running the meet was stressful and I never had to run and be in charge of the meet personally, I think it went very smoothly but it took a village.  Thank you to all the parents for volunteering and helping and to Rabun County EMS for making sure everyone was safe throughout the course and thank you for all you do for Rabun County.  Thank you to April Welch Adcock and Anthony Lampros for allowing us to host on the beautiful campus.  Also, thanks to Adam Dixon and Roy Quilliams with the Rabun County Rec for all the support.  This is a special group of kids I have the honor to coach, with the biggest hearts, passion, and character.  They pick up trash around the stadium whenever and just willing to get better every single day is completely amazing.”
