Rabun Co. hosts Social Circle in 2nd Round of Football Playoffs

It’s the second round of the state A playoffs tonight, November 18, 2022, for the Rabun County Wildcats, as they host Social Circle at  Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium.  The Wildcats are 11-0 on the season and Social Circle is 8-3.  Rabun County High School Varsity Football Head Coach Mike Davis says this will be a tough opponent for the Wildcats.  “I’m very familiar with Social Circle because being from down around that area, the Covington and Conyers area.  This is not the same Social Circle team.  I’ve heard from people in this community from several people in Rabun County how they used to beat up on Social Circle, they were kind of the whipping child.  The last week we were off, we got to watch them and Prince Avenue play and were very impressed.  They’re very tall and very long.  The coach there, I think he’s been there 3-5 years and he’s done a really good job of getting some basketball players and wrestlers out.  They had always been a basketball and wrestling school from what I’ve been told.  The quarterback is 6’6” and they’ve got two receivers that are 6’3” and 6’4”.  A lot of length.  They throw it around a lot.  It’s going to be a really tough opponent.  We’ve got our work cut out for us this second round.”  The Rabun County High School varsity football game kicks off at 7:30pm tonight, November 18, 2022.  If you can’t make it to the game, you can listen to it on Sky 96.3.
