Rabun Co. Deputies arrest Two People for Trafficking Illegal Drugs
Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested two people for trafficking illegal drugs. On April 14, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Infiniti G35 for an equipment violation. During the stop, K9 Doug was deployed and a search of the vehicle was conducted. After a search of the vehicle was done, both subjects in the vehicle, 28-year-old Austin Lee Sheets and 27-year-old Shanequa Lachez Silvers, both from Johnson City, Tennessee, were transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking heroin, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession with intent to distribute schedule III and IV controlled substances, and driving on a revoked driver’s license.
