Old 441 South Culvert Replacement Project postponed
The City of Clayton Public Works Department reports the Old 441 South culvert replacement project scheduled for May 9-16, has been postponed. Clayton Public Works Director Jason Waldroup says a lack of material has delayed the project. “We are going to have to stop our road closure for the project due to we could not get a hold of the contractor and the material due to the shortage.” In March of 2021, severe storms damaged the culvert going under Old 441 South between Sabar Lane and Leaning Chimney. The City is receiving FEMA Public Assistance on the project and still plans to replace the culvert sometime in the future.
