NGTC Culinary Arts Program to return to Blairsville Campus

Beginning fall 2024, North Georgia Technical College’s (NGTC) culinary arts program will once again be offered on the Blairsville campus. NGTC culinary arts is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC) and boasts award-winning faculty. The Prep Cook certificate program will be taught on the Blairsville campus by Chef Hannah Nelson of Blue Ridge, Ga. Nelson is an NGTC culinary arts graduate and 2022 national SkillsUSA winner in Restaurant Service. Additionally, faculty members, Chefs Alexander and Christopher Bladowski recently earned the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Atlanta Chefs Association (ACA) Presidential Award for their dedication to education in Georgia and outstanding service to the chapter. NGTC culinary arts is very involved in the ACF-ACA chapter; Christopher Bladowski currently serves as first vice president, while Alexander Bladowski serves as treasurer. “We are excited to announce the return of our culinary arts program to the Blairsville campus with the Prep Cook certificate,” said NGTC Dean of Academic Affairs Christy Bivins. “This program, taught by our own NGTC graduate and SkillsUSA winner, Hannah Nelson, represents our commitment to providing a top-notch culinary education. Hannah’s expertise and passion for culinary arts make her an invaluable asset to our students and the community. We are excited for the opportunities this program will bring to aspiring chefs in our region.” The fall 2024 application deadline is August 7, 2024. Scholarships are available through the NGTC Foundation. The Foundation’s scholarship application deadline for the fall 2024 semester is July 22, 2024.
