New RCWSA Building to be ready by January

The final construction phases of the new office and shop building for the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) are progressing.  At their recent meeting, the Authority Board was given an update on construction by Brendan Thompson, General Manager of the RCWSA. “We are putting up paneling now.  The rough plumbing and wiring have been completed. We are looking at putting down flooring and installing the drop ceiling in the next week or two to go ahead and look at being in that building by January.  So, hopefully, we will be up and ready to run in January with our new shop and office.” The new building will serve as a shop and office complex where customers can come in and pay their bills in person if they want to. There is a 3,000 square foot area for shop work to repair motors and equipment.  The new building, at 1650 Yorkhouse Road, sits on the same property as the Wastewater Plant.
