NCDOT announces Temporary Closure on U.S. 64

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) announced that a section of US-64 will be temporarily closed beginning on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. U.S. 64 will be closed from 9am to 3pm to all through traffic from the intersection of Buck Creek Road to the entrance of Brush Creek Drive in Highlands.  This closure is necessary to repair and maintain a damaged section of guardrail.  The North Carolina Department of Transportation expects to reopen U.S. 64 to through traffic no later than Thursday, October 1.
