Meals on Wheels in Need

Rabun County’s Meals on Wheels program is in dire need of volunteers for the rest of winter. Already slightly down from the 45 volunteers need to run things in a timely manner, the program lost 7 more in the last week and a half and are now at 32. Supervisor Lawanda Craig says she is in particular need of volunteers for Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays…

“They would be volunteering probably two-two and a half hours out of a day, and their gas and time to take hot meals to someone who is home-bound and doesn’t have no other way of getting the meals.”
