Matt Arthur Up for Superintendent of the Year

The Georgia School Superintendents Association has selected Rabun County Superintendent Matt Arthur as one of its four finalist for Georgia’s superintendent of the year award for the 2014 competition! In his 12 years tenure Mr. Arthur has been instrumental in raising the Graduation rate from 63% to 90.2% and increased the number of students in advanced placement courses from 25 to well over 200 as well as many other things that have greatly benefited the Rabun County School System. The 4 remaining finalist were chosen from 19 nominees, the winner will be announced in December and will represent the state at the national level.
