Man In “Severe Shape” After Aggravated Assault
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into an alleged aggravated assault that sends two victims to the hospital.
According to Sheriff Frank Andrews, following an incident of domestic violence over the weekend, a 51 year old male was airlifted to Mission Hospital in Asheville, while a 31 year old female was treated locally.
GBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Brad Parks explained.
“What we have right now is we have one individual who is currently in the hospital in North Carolina, and one other victim that was also involved in the incident,” said Parks. “So we have two victims recovering, and we are investigating it as an aggravated assault at this point, but one of them is in the hospital in North Carolina, and I think in pretty severe shape.”
The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office has turned over the investigation to the GBI.
No further details are available at this time.
