Man charged with Public Drunkenness at High School Football Game

Three charges were filed against a Clayton man after the Rabun County High School football game Friday night.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that 61-year-old Johnny Wayne Wilburn stands charged with public drunkenness, alcohol possession on public school grounds, and carrying a weapon within school safety zones.  At 10:30pm on Nov. 15, a deputy was dispatched to the high school football stadium to assist the school resource officer with an intoxicated male, who later was identified as Wilburn. After speaking with the deputy, Wilburn was arrested and booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the three charges.
