Lakemont Man busted for Meth

A Lakemont man faces drug charges after deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office were called to break-up a dispute.  On October 4, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Mountain Stream Lane in Lakemont and spoke with a woman who stated that her boyfriend, 35-year-old Alton Owens, put a trash can on the accelerator pedal of his Ford Mustang causing it to drive into the washroom of the house.  Deputies then spoke with Owens and found him to be in possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession and use of drug-related objects.  He was arrested and booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the charges.
