Lady Indians Varsity and JV take wins at Rabun County

Brian Carter, Director of Sports Communication and Digital Media at Tallulah Falls School (TFS) reports the Lady Indians had dropped three straight matches heading into Monday’s road non-region match at Rabun County and were hungry for a win.  The varsity and JV both took wins in straight sets.  The JV girls won in straight sets, but it took every bit of each set to claim the victory.  Both the first and second sets were won by 25-22 scores.  For the varsity team, it was a complete team effort to earn a 3-0 win. The girls won 25-17 in the opening set, 25-18 in the second, and clinched the match with a 25-12 third set.  “It was not too bad for missing three starters and not having your libero to play for middle hitters in the back,” says coach Matt Heyl. “It wasn’t the most amazing match ever, but I thought it went pretty well for having only eight of our 13 players there. I was just so happy to be back with my girls. So it was all positive for me.”  The JV program is now 6-3 on the season, while the varsity squad advances to 5-4 overall.  The teams play their home opener on Wednesday evening against Highlands (NC).
