July Rainfall Totals for Rabun County
National Weather Service Meteorologist Doug Outlaw said Rabun County had 7.7 inches of rain in July. “The rainfall total for July was 7.7 inches with 2.08 inches on July 8th and another big amount of 2.1 inches on July 22nd. That went a long way toward the overall total of 7.7 inches for the month of July.” Rabun County is listed in a moderate drought, continues Outlaw. “As far as the drought conditions over Rabun County as of Thursday of last week, which is when the drought map was last updated, a moderate drought was continuing over the county and the drought map will be updated this coming Thursday.” Outlaw gives the high and low temperatures for July. “The highest temperature for the month was 93 degrees on July 5th and 62 degrees for the low temperature on July 3rd.” Totals may be different where you live, these totals were recorded at the radio stations on North Main Street in Clayton.
