Jessica Bleckley Pleads Guilty

A Rabun County woman is sentenced after pleading guilty on two different counts.

Jessica Morgan Bleckley was sentenced to 15 years with 6 of those set to be serve in prison Wednesday morning in Rabun County Superior Court.

Assistant District Attorney Maggie Hastings says that one charge against Bleckley was dropped after she pled guilty to other charges.

“She plead guilty to false imprisonment and aggravated assault,” said Hastings. “In consideration of that guilty plea, the kidnapping charges were dropped.”

The charge of aggravated assault carries a fifteen year penalty with six of those in prison, and the charge of false imprisonment carries a penalty of ten years with six of those in prison, sentences which are to run concurrently.
