Indians of the Week for week ending November 28

Brian Carter, Director of Sports Communication and Digital Media at Tallulah Falls School (TFS) announces the Indians of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 28, 2020.  The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week’s Indians of the Week (for the week of November 23-28) include Macy Murdock and Sammy Davis for high school, and Molly Rickman and Cole Borchers for middle school.

Macy Murdock – Basketball

High School Girl

“The Lady Indian Basketball team would like to nominate Macy Murdock for the Indian of the Week. Macy has returned this year with a desire to continue to improve her game. She has made the most out of her minutes on the court thus far by making wise choices on the floor. She continues to grow in her confidence with the ball and has taken on a real leadership role with many of our players in our first year JV program. We are very proud of the consistent growth we are observing in Macy’s leadership ability and skills on the court,” said Coach Brandy Corbett.

Sammy Davis – Basketball

High School Boy

“Sammy Davis helped guide the Indians to a 57-22 victory last Tuesday over Monsignor Donovan. During the game, Sammy led the team with 22 points and 15 rebounds, earning himself his first double-double of the season. Additionally, he also added 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 deflection in his excellent performance,” said Coach Cody Coleman.

Molly Rickman – Swimming

Middle School Girl

“Molly Rickman comes to practice with an attitude determined to improve on speed and technique. Molly’s determination has helped her to reach personal best times already this season and she continues to improve every day,” said Coach Rachel Nichols.

Cole Borchers – Swimming

Middle School Boy

“Cole Borchers is a returning swimmer who has found a new love for swimming. Cole chose to work on his endurance prior to the season starting and continues to seek guidance in improving his technique. Cole is a team leader who sets the example for maintaining a positive attitude and giving their best effort during practice,” said Coach Rachel Nichols.
