Indians of the Month for November 2020

Brian Carter, Director of Sports Communication and Digital Media at Tallulah Falls School (TFS) reports TFS has named its Indians of the Month winners for November 2020. The winners are Emily Wolfe and Sammy Davis for the high school, and Millie Holcomb and Teryk Tilley for the middle school.

Emily Wolfe – Swimming

High School Girl

“Emily Wolfe is a returning swimmer who arrived at this year’s swim season with a determination to improve and lead. Emily has set the example as a team leader by arriving to practice focused and prepared to work hard. she also assisted the Girl’s team in our meet on 11/14 by scoring 18 points and dropped time in her 200-yard freestyle.  Even after that strong meet, Emily chose to attend all optional practices this past holiday break week to improve her stroke and endurance. No doubt, with her mentality, she will continue to improve as an athlete and help our program to progress,” said Coach Rachel Nichols.

Sammy Davis – Basketball

High School Boy

“Over the month of November Sammy Davis has led the TFS basketball team on and off the court.  He has contributed with double figure scoring in two of the first three games of the season.  He also picked up his first double-double of the year against Monsignor Donovan with 22 points and 15 rebounds,” said Coach Cody Coleman.

Millie Holcomb – Basketball

Middle School Girl

“Millie Holcomb always has a positive attitude, great work ethic, and a willingness to do what best benefits her team. She gives her best efforts and is a constant encouragement for her teammates. Millie has played big minutes thus far, in the low post,  and has been a crucial part of our early success,” said Coach Sharea Long.

Teryk Tilley – Basketball

Middle School Boy

“Teryk Tilley is a 6’5″ team captain who is extremely hard working. Throughout the year, he has looked for opportunities to lead his teammates both in the classroom and off the court. This combination of effort with his size has been attributed to a lot of blocked shots, rebounds and deflections during games and practices. He is a great finisher under the basket and has great leadership, often helping his teammates remember where to be on each play,” said Coach Tom Tilley.
