Higher Gas Prices in Rabun County, Statewide

AAA is reporting that a gallon of gas in the state of Georgia is going to set you back more than last week.

In Rabun County, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now at $3.09, more than in previous weeks.

For the state of Georgia as a whole, the average price for a gallon of gas is now at $3.16.

AAA says, “Georgia gas prices increased alongside rising crude oil. Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $3.15 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. Monday’s state average is 9 cents more than a week ago, 18 cents more than last month and $1.15 more than this time last year.

It now costs motorists $47.25 to fill a 15-gallon tank of gasoline; that is $10.35 more than what motorists paid in January of 2020 when pump prices hit their peak of $2.46 per gallon.”
