Hazardous Weather Outlook

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Northeast Georgia, Piedmont North Carolina, Western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina. There is a marginal risk for a few strong to severe thunderstorms on Thursday across the South Carolina Upstate, North Carolina Piedmont and Foothills, and Northeast Georgia. Damaging wind gusts are expected to be the main threat from any stronger storms; however, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. In addition, an unseasonably cold air mass will spread over the area this weekend and linger through early next week. By Monday, high temperatures will likely only reach the low to mid 40s, with lows in the upper teens to low 20s.
