Hazardous Weather Outlook

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Northeast Georgia, Piedmont North Carolina, Western North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina for Thursday, August 1, 2024. Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will pose a risk of cloud-to-ground lightning and torrential rainfall. A few storms may also produce damaging wind gusts or hail up to the size of quarters.
