“Hay Day” a Success

Halloween Hay Day is a success.

Hay Day took place at the Clayton Municipal Complex Saturday, and was an opportunity for kids to have some Halloween fun.

Clayton City Manager Cissy Henry said it was a great event.

“Halloween Hay Day was another success,” said Henry. “We had probably over 600 children that came through and trick or treated, and then they all went up town to see the merchants, so it was a fun, full, eventful day.”

The festivities kicked off at 10 a.m. Saturday with games for the kids, and then they had the opportunity to trick or treat at downtown businesses.

Regarding other festivities taking place at Clayton City Hall, Sue Overholt with the City of Clayton is the bearer of bad news.

“Due to weather conditions, there will be no haunted house this week due to not having any heat.”

The Haunted House was taking place to raise money for Community Partnership’s Christmas fund. Henry is that $600 dollars had already been raised, however, their goal was $1,000.
