GSP reports traffic count over holiday travel period

The Georgia State Patrol had their hands full over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period according to reports just released.

Locally in Rabun County, four traffic crashes, 11 traffic citations and three DUI’s were reported by troopers over the holiday period.

Statewide, traffic crashes across Georgia resulted in 15 traffic deaths. This year, the holiday travel period was 102-hours long. It began at 6 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 21, and ended at 11:59 p.m. on Sun., Nov. 25.
