“We’re doing a fundraiser for the Veteran’s Dinner, which is November the 11th. The Veteran’s Ride will take place on November the 8th, it will be $25 per motorcycle, or if you prefer to ride in a vehicle, it’s $40 and as many people as you want to ride with you.”

She adds that this years ride will be led by Clayton Assistant Police Chief Andy Strait, and span over 50 miles of scenic roads in the Northeast Georgia Mountains…

“We will take off from here(City Hall) at 10 am, hopefully to be back around 1, and they’ll be serving us lunch when we get back.”

The City of Clayton also has some other ways that you can support your local veterans…

“This is a great way to support your veterans. We’ve got several things we’re doing here at City Hall, we sell these cards in honor of, or in memory of a veteran, that you can have posted here on the foyer inside City Hall, or you 20141107_090919can purchase a raffle ticket for a nice prize. All the proceeds go to the veterans. All the money from the ride will go towards the Veteran’s Dinner, it’s just a great way to show support of our veterans.”
