Georgia Gas Price Average on the Rise

AAA reports Georgia gas prices increased alongside rising crude oil prices.  Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $3.83 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.  Monday’s state average is 12 cents more than a week ago, 3 cents more than last month, and $1.08 more than this time last year.  AAA says the probable cause for the increase appears to be an uptick in demand and the high price of crude oil, which is stubbornly staying above $100 per barrel.  High crude prices will likely contribute to gas prices remaining elevated this week.  The most expensive Georgia metro market is Valdosta at $3.87 and the least expensive Georgia metro market is Catoosa-Dade-Walker at $3.76.  Since last Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by 13 cents to $4.31.
