Georgia Department of Labor to host recruitment

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor’ s (GDOL) Habersham Career Center will help Visiting Angels, a home health care company, recruit as many as 40 care givers and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) at events in Habersham and Rabun counties. In addition to those two counties, employees will work in Stephens and White counties.

The first recruitment will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the GDOL career center located in Suite 205 at 215 Hodges St. in Cornelia. The second recruitment will be held eight days laterThursday, Aug. 10, at the GDOL’s satellite office at the Rabun County Employment Center located at 184 South Main St. in Clayton. Both recruitments will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), and a valid driver’s license. Since the company will train the workers, no previous experience is required.

Applicants are encouraged to bring their resume and driver’s license and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.
