Friday Fire Investigated

A house burns early Friday morning in the city of Clayton.

Rabun County EMA Director Marty Dixon said the blaze began at a residence on Colorado Lane in Clayton around 5:30 Friday morning.

Rabun County Fire Stations 1, 6, and 12 responded and extinguished the fire, but the home was a total loss.

No one was in the house when the blaze began, and no injuries are reported.

The fire is being investigated by the Clayton Police Department and the State Fire Marshal.
