Free Adult Education Courses at NGTC
Adults who want to finish or get their GED can take advantage of free Adult Education Courses offered by North Georgia Technical College (NGTC). This is a program designed for people with different needs, different skill levels, and different background levels. NGTC provides a full range of services for adults who want to improve their basic reading, math, and English skills and get a GED or to study for what they call the COMPASS exam, which is an exam to get into a technical college. There is no cost to take the courses. However, there are four components of the GED test, and each section is $40 per section. The test is paid for if you are in the NGTC program as you can receive a scholarship. Students must be 17-years-old or 16-years-old with a parent’s consent. The Adult Education Program is year-round with registration usually twice a month. Anyone can call 706-779-8116 to learn more.
