Four Wrecks on Aug. 5 in Rabun County

Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office had a busy day on August 5, 2020, as they worked four wrecks in the county.  The first happened at 2:35am on Highway 76 East near McWorter Lane when a 2010 Ford Mustang had a tree come down on top of it.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The second occurred at 2:35am on Highway 76 East near McWorter Lane when a 2006 Toyota Tacoma drove into a tree that had fallen in the road.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle crash.  The third took place at 9:56pm on Highway 28 near Burell’s Ford Road when a 2014 Ford Mustang swerved to miss a deer in the road, traveled off the roadway, and struck a tree.  The driver was taken by Rabun County EMS to Oconee Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the single-vehicle wreck.  The fourth happened at 10:30pm on Bridge Creek Road at its intersection with Shirley Street when a 2004 Lincoln Town Car crashed into a ditch.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle crash.
