Four Wrecks investigated in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to four wrecks in the county over a 17-day period.  The first accident occurred at 3:21pm on July 15, on Wolffork Road. The driver stated that she was going down her driveway and her sister was driving up the driveway and she hit her.  The sister stated to deputies that she was driving up the driveway and did not see a car coming and they collided head-on in the driveway. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.  The second wreck happened at 3:50pm on July 21, on Bridge Creek Road. The driver stated that he looked down at his phone and ran off the roadway. The third accident also occurred on Bridge Creek Road at 10:42pm on July 31.  The driver told deputies that they were attempting a left-hand curve but lost control of the vehicle and went off the right side of the roadway and struck the rear of a parked car and then struck the corner of the residence at 723 Bridge Creek Road.  The driver was taken to Habersham Medical Center by Rabun County EMS. The fourth wreck happened at 6:09pm on Aug. 1. The driver told the deputy that she was backing out of her parking space at a local Mexican restaurant and backed into another vehicle.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash.
