Four Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently worked four wrecks in the county.  The first occurred at 5:36pm on Nov. 4. A deputy was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 28 North in which the driver of a 1996 Ford F350 struck a 1998 Nissan 200SX and then left the scene.  The driver of the Nissan was taken by Rabun County EMS to Oconee Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the two-vehicle accident. The second wreck happened at 5:47pm on Nov. 11. The driver of a 2016 Hyundai Accent told a deputy that she lost control of the vehicle and crashed on Georgia 15 near Dave Wall Drive.  The driver was not injured in the single-vehicle accident. The third occurred at 10:15am on Nov. 12. The driver of a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix told the deputy that she lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve on Warwoman Road near Galloway Hill Lane, causing her to strike the guardrail. The vehicle then spun out of control and slide down an embankment.  The driver was not injured in the single-vehicle accident. The fourth wreck happened at 10:21am on Nov. 13. A deputy was dispatched to Rock Mountain Road at its intersection with Viola Scott Circle for a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander that was backing to turn around and struck a boulder on the shoulder of the roadway. The driver was not injured in the single-vehicle accident.
