Four Recent Wrecks in Rabun Co.

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to four wrecks in the county.  The first occurred at 2:10pm on Feb. 20. A 2003 Ford Mustang was attempting to make a U-turn on Persimmon Road at its intersection with Badger Lane and did not see a 2013 Ford Fusion behind it and was hit.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. The second crash happened at 1pm on Feb. 22. An unknown vehicle backed into an unoccupied 2007 Toyota Camry that was parked in the Walmart parking lot and did not report the accident before leaving the scene.  The third wreck occurred at 3:23pm on Feb. 22. A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was pulling out of the boat ramp on Murray Cove Road, did not see the trailer attached to a 1999 Ford SRW, and struck the trailer. No one was injured in the two-vehicle crash. The fourth motor vehicle crash happened at midnight on Feb. 23.  A 2002 Chevrolet Impala was traveling down Warwoman Road when a deer ran into the road and struck the front right side of the vehicle. No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.
