Five Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked five recent wrecks in the county.  On May 20, 2023, at 4:10pm, the driver of a 2002 Toyota Tundra rear-ended a 2019 Hyundai Tucson on Georgia 15 near Playhouse Drive.  No one was injured in the wreck.  On May 20, 2023, at 10:30pm, the driver of a 2006 Cadillac STS went into the curve on the Tiger Connector too sharply, overcorrected, and went down the embankment into a tree.  No one was injured in the crash.  On May 21, 2023, at 3:40pm, the driver of a 2002 Honda motorcycle skidded out and was slung over the embankment into the trees on Highway 197 near McKnab Road.  The driver refused medical transport to the hospital.  On May 22, 2023, at 8:50am, the driver of a 2005 Ford Mustang struck the rear of a 2003 Chevrolet Van on Highway 76 near Peaceful Lane.  No one was injured in the crash.  On May 23, 2023, at 8pm, the driver of a 2019 Volkswagen struck a deer on Highway 76 near Kingwood Drive.  No one was injured in the wreck.
