Felony Theft by Taking under Investigation in Rabun County

Investigators with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office are currently looking into a recent felony theft by taking.  On Feb. 13, a deputy was dispatched to a home on Harry Brown Lane in Dillard in reference to a theft report.  The deputy spoke with the homeowner, who stated that he recently evicted a tenant and has since noticed that a lot of tools and other items are now missing.  Among the stolen items were the title to vehicles, an auto scanner, a scan grafter, a freight scanner, car keys, a 20 gauge shotgun, and a 50 caliber rifle.  The total value of the stolen items is $5,375.
