Protest in Clayton

A protest is planned for Saturday, June 6, 2020, in downtown Clayton.  Clayton Police Chief Andy Strait announces that the protest is set for 1:45pm at the Rabun County Courthouse parking lot. Protesters will be there for approximately 15 minutes and then will walk to Main Street where they will stand on both sides of the street in silent protest until 3:45pm. The protest will close out around 4pm with a prayer. Chief Strait said, “Peaceful protest is a right afforded to us under the Constitution and the Clayton Police Department fully supports that right.”
