Free Car Seat Checkup Event

The Rabun County Health Department hosts a free Car Seat Checkup Event on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at 10am.  You can learn how to properly install your child’s car seat or booster seat as well as find out if it’s time for a change and if you qualify for a free car seat or booster.  Certified child passenger safety technicians will check for recalls and ensure all child safety seats are installed by manufacturer specifications. There will be a short presentation followed by instructions on how to make sure your child’s car seat is properly installed in your vehicle and how to safely buckle your child into their seat.  Appointments are required. To reserve your spot or if you have questions, call the Rabun County Health Department at 706-212-0289. The Rabun County Health Department is located at 184 South Main Street, Suite 200, in Clayton. This free event is also sponsored by the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.
