Clayton City Council’s May Meeting

The City of Clayton has released the agenda for the Council’s regular session on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 4pm in the City of Clayton courtroom and online.  Among the items on the agenda are: sinking fund conversion from general fund to water-sewer account, Currahee Brewing Company llc. – approve license upon receipt of state license “brewery or microbrewery, brewing, wholesale, retail sales and pouring onsite consumption”, Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority – first addendum dispute resolution to treated water contract, Amendment to ethics ordinance, Fiscal Year 2021 budget – need to approve before May’s end, IWORQ zoning software, equipment purchase- Bobcat Skidsteer-$55855. would like to pay $35000 this 2020 f/y budget and pay the balance of $21000 in the 2021 budget, wastewater drying beds clean out – $9720, LMIG funds street paving contractor bids – Pool Creek paving was lowest bidder at $123,416, for 3 roads- Ramey Boulevard, Duvall Street, and Humphrey Lane use $114,800 in LMIG funds and $8616 with w/s funds. striping will be extra, street department- purchase a f150 truck for $23,183, GDOT regarding GA15/US441 widening from indoor market north- we have been informed the city needs to complete an engineering study by May 29th (costs $100,500), RCWSA sewer bill $48,000, special event – beer/wine request – Rabun County Civic Center (RC BOC) outlaw tribute concert – May 23, 2020 (7-9pm) – cancelled per Annie Williams information, monthly water and sewer status report, Wastewater Plant monthly report, Ad Valorem Delinquent Report, Police Department monthly report, Financial status, Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority update, DDA update, Sewer ordinance for industry – ordinance update, Short Term Rentals ordinance 2nd reading–Mayor Green suggested to wait until a true public meeting can be held, Ethics Board appointment, DCA letter of qualified status, RCWSA increase for treated water 3.10 current to 3.19 July 1st, and other business.  Until further notice, Clayton City Hall is closed to the public; however, City Hall Staff is available by phone and email,  Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.  The Clayton City Council meeting will be live-streamed on the city’s Facebook page.
