Eight Wrecks over Four Days in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked eight wrecks over four days in the county.  The first motor vehicle crash happened at 2:50pm on July 2, on Charlie Mountain Road.  The driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu told deputies that a deer ran out in front of his vehicle causing him to crash in a ditch.  The second wreck occurred at 7:28pm on July 2, on River Vista Drive.  A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a camper turned a curve and struck the front driver’s side of a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado parked at the campsite.  The third crash took place at 1:37pm on July 3, on Kelly’s Creek Drive.  A 2005 Subaru Outback pulled out of a driveway and hit a 2010 Ford Focus in the side as it came around a curve in the roadway.  The fourth wreck happened at 9:53am on July 4, on Highway 76 West.  A 1993 Pontiac Trans Sport struck a 2006 Mercedes Benz on the right side as it was attempting to merge onto the highway from Bradford Road.  The fifth motor vehicle crash occurred at 12:11pm on July 4, on Wolffork Road.  A 2004 Chevrolet Colorado missed the turn, stopped to back up, and hit a 2013 Nissan Juke.  The sixth wreck happened at 5:26pm on July 4, on Hillside Drive.  A 2013 Ford F150 rolled back into a 2012 Honda Odyssey at a stop sign.  The seventh crash took place at 5:46pm on July 4, on Anchor Lane.  A 2008 Lexus RX350 struck a 2011 Ford Edge.  The eighth wreck occurred at 1:12pm on July 5, on Wolffork Road.  A 2010 Toyota Tundra hit a deer that ran into the roadway.
