Drug bust yields over $32k in cash

Last week, law enforcememnt concluded a 3-month long undercover drug investigation that led to the arrest of one and the seizure of over five pounds of marijuana along with a slew of hallucinogenic “sheets” commonly referred to as LSD.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) along with the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Chase Anderson, 21, of Mt. Airy, Georgia during a traffic stop after authorities executed a search warrant at his place of residence.

During the search, agents located approximately five pounds of marijuana, 159 THC Vape Cartridges (schedule 1 narcotic), approximately one hundred (100) “hits” of LSD, approximately $32,000 cash, and three firearms.

According to authorities, the street value of the seized illegal narcotics was $30,370.

Anderson was charged with Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession with intent to distribute a schedule 1 narcotic, and Possession of a stolen firearm.

Anderson was transported to the Habersham County Detention Center where he remains lodged. Additional charges are pending.
