Drug Arrests in Toccoa and Stephens County

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, the Toccoa Police Department, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office conducted a search at 182 Hughes Street, Toccoa, Stephens County, GA.  The search resulted in the following arrests 25-year-old Austin Lee Kidd for two probation revocation warrants, two counts possession of roxicodone, two counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and possession of firearm during commission of a felony; 22-year-old Alyssa Kari Whitlock for possession of roxicodone; and 26-year-old Abby Gail Jordan for possession of roxicodone and possession of methamphetamine.  All three of the individuals were transported to the Stephens County Jail. More charges are anticipated in this active investigation.  The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office is a multi-agency unit that consists of the following Sheriff’s Offices: White County, Lumpkin County, Towns County, Banks County, Jackson County, Habersham County, Stephens County, Rabun County, Franklin County, Gilmer County, Fannin County, the Cleveland Police Department, the Lavonia Police Department, and the Toccoa Police Department, along with the Georgia National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, the Georgia Department of Public Safety, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
