District Attorney to Speak at Sheriff’s Self Defense Class

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office is offering the chance for those in the area to learn more on Georgia’s self defense laws. District Attorney Brian Rickman will be speaking at the class…

“Self defense, and Georgia’s law of self defense has been something we consistently get asked questions about. Especially from people who have firearms, own firearms.”

The class will include an open forum to ask any question on the matter that you might have…

“Basically what we’ll do is, it’s April 4th, 6(pm) to 8(pm), and for approximately 45 minutes to an hour, I’ll just go through what exactly Georgia Law says, and talk about different situations, and then spend a lot of time allowing people to ask the Sheriff’s Office, and ask me any questions that they want to ask. There’s a lot of misinformation.

The class is open to anyone who would like to attend and will be held in the Rabun County Courtroom.
