Dillard House hosting upcoming Northeast Mountain Film Festival

There is no better place to hold the first annual Northeast Mountain Film Festival then within Rabun County where cinematic art makes film history.

The Northeast Mountain Film Festival will be held at the Dillard House Conference Center Next Friday through Sunday. The festival is celebrating its first year at the Dillard House, where films from different genres from over 40 countries will be showcased. Along with exceptional feature films, the festival includes socializing talks, outdoor programming and presentations.

The program will include discussions, master classes and screenings of featured short films, documentaries and animation films that were selected from submissions to the Filmfreeway Platform. There will be seminars and conferences on topics affecting the film industry today. At the conclusion, a monetary award will be given for best feature film, best director, best actor, best female actor, best animation film, best documentary, and best short movie. Additionally, this festival will help spread awareness and inspire film standards for local, regional, and international filmmakers.

Friday’s ticket can be purchased for $45, which will be an opening ceremony will showcase one of the best feature films and documentary film selected from hundreds of films selected by the jury. The opening night ticket will also include dinner.

Saturday’s $65 pass will start from 10 a.m. through midnight with a full day of movie screenings, presentations, social discussions and more. Breaks will be taken after each show. After dinner, an award ceremony and a closing party will take place.

You can also buy a $10 Entry Ticket to watch any movie/movies you like. Ticket price includes no access to meals.

Most of the movies shown are never been played in Theaters yet. More than 500 films from over 40 countries are being submitted this year to be part of the festival.

The audience can also participate and vote for the Best Audience Film.
