Deputies investigating Two Financial Transaction Card Frauds
Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office are investigating two recent transaction card frauds in the county. On May 9, a deputy met with the complainant from Mountain City and learned that someone had been using her credit card without her knowledge or permission. Purchases were made at several local businesses in the amount of $1,256. On May 9, a deputy spoke with a complainant from Rabun Gap and was told that a fraudulent charge was made on her debit card to Straight Talk phone services in the amount of $45.
