COVID-9 Vaccine extended to Georgia Teachers

At his recent press conference, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced that the state was extending its COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to teachers.  “Effective March 8, the following groups will be eligible for the vaccine.  K-12 educators and school staff, this includes both public and private schools.  Pre-K and DCAL educators and staff.  Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as their caregivers.  Parents with children, who have complex medical conditions.  This population of approximately one million Georgians will join the currently 1A+ population of roughly two million Georgians,” said Governor Kemp.  In addition, Gov. Kemp said that this is an important step in ensuring all Georgia students have access to in-person instruction and ensuring the safety of students, staff, and families.
