Coach Shaw Region 8-AA Athletic Director of the Year

The Region 8 AA Athletic Director of the Year Award has been announced, and the winner is Rabun County’s own Coach Lee Shaw. Since taking over as Athletic Director Rabun County High School athletics have made great strides that have not gone unnoticed by the other coaches and administrators in the region who voted to give Shaw the award. Coach says it feels great but that the credit really belongs to others…

“It’s a great honor, really I’m just excepting it on behalf of all our coaches at Rabun County High School, and all our athletes.Its because of what they’ve done given the opportunity to be successful, and given what they need. The coaches have done an outstanding job of last year of leading their teams and their athletes. Just we’ve got great kids in Rabun County, and our athletes competed and did some really good things last year, and I’m super proud to be the AD.”

This now puts Coach Shaw in the running for Athletic Director of the Year for the entire state.
