Clayton Woman arrested for Trafficking in Meth

A Clayton woman stands charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects, and failure to maintain a lane.  On September 10, a deputy of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Toyota CH-R on Georgia 15 at its intersection with East Wolf Creek Road in Lakemont for failure to maintain its lane.  During the traffic stop, K9 Doug alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted where a quantity of methamphetamine was located.  The driver, 35-year-old Brenda Hartin Camp of Clayton, was arrested and transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.
