What does the Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA) do…the City of Clayton awards us the Hotel/Motel Tax funds so that we can, among various things, provide advertising money for events put on in Clayton to bring visitors and residents into town to enjoy our shops, restaurants and businesses! Events such as Celebrate Clayton, Foxfire Mountaineer, Turkey Trot, Christmas in Downtown Clayton, Holiday Extravaganza, Painted Fern Art Show, Clayton Farmers Market and more!  We also develop the Historic Clayton signs and 2 billboards, maintain landscaping such as the “blue pots”, decorate for holidays, keep merchants apprised of what is going on, keep Clayton beautiful with the City’s help…oh, so much!!!
