Clayton Council sets Public Hearings on Short Term Rentals

Public hearings have been planned by the Clayton City Council to discuss short term rentals.  Three dates are scheduled, tells Clayton City Clerk Rhonda Lunsford. “The Clayton City Council has scheduled three dates to have public hearings regarding short term rentals in R1 zoning areas and these are people that have Air B&Bs and overnight accommodations for out of town guests and they actually, of course, pay not just your friends coming.  The three dates for the public hearings are Oct. 8, Oct. 15, and Nov. 12, and these will start at 3pm.” The three public hearings will take place in the courtroom of Clayton City Hall. Once the public has been allowed to comment on short term rentals, the Clayton City Council will draft an ordinance for a vote.
