“Officer John Grist made a routine traffic stop on a Ford pickup. He suspected the guys were carrying illegal contraband, a K-9 unit was called from the Sheriff’s Office, and they discovered over an once and a half of meth inside the vehicle.”

The two men in the vehicle, Eric Allen Dixon and Benjamin Blake James were initially pulled over for not wearing their seat-belts. Hamilton says meth was not the only thing found…

“There was marijuana, and scales, and a couple other small baggies.”

Over $2,000 and several Schedule IV narcotics were also confiscated. Both men face multiple drug charges.
