Clayton City Hall getting New Roof

Clayton City Hall is getting a new roof.  The project to replace the roof has been months in the making as the city has been working with several different contractors to determine the right course of action to fix the aging roof.  At their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night, the Clayton City Council awarded a contract to repair the roof, tells Clayton City Manager Cissy Henry. “We selected Carolina Roofing. They were awarded the bid and it was, I think, around $84,000.  They will be putting silicon on the roof and they give it a three-year guarantee and a two-year guarantee for the workmanship. So, hopefully, they will get that started and we will get this leaking roof fixed soon.” Repairs to the roof are scheduled to begin soon.
